Tourism New Zealand partnered with The Pistol to enhance engagement between its operator network and prospective travellers through a seamless digital engagement experience. Leveraging custom built technology, our strategy dynamically retargeted high-intent visitors from TNZ’s website with hyper-relevant content, directing them to operator sites to book.
This initiative empowered a fragmented network of tourism operators with a best in class creative and media solution that activated TNZ’s 50M+ annual visitors, driving $5M in incremental conversion value across 20,000 bookings and a 44% improvement to consumer engagement rate in the initial launch phase. This technology-led approach unlocked new levels of collaboration between TNZ and their network of operators, while improving the consumer experience, and delivering commercial value for both TNZ and their operator network.
